Local businesses looking to showcase their product and service at the upcoming 2020 Recovery Moreton Bay Region Business and Jobs Expo can now apply for a discounted stand.

A range of discounted rates for up to 80 exhibition stands will help lift the financial load thanks to the partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council.

Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) CEO Shane Newcombe applauded Council’s support and dedication to helping Moreton Bay businesses in their coronavirus recovery.

“The additional support by Council means we can help our region’s most affected owners and operators get back on their feet through the 2020 Recovery Moreton Bay Region Business and Jobs Expo,” he said.

“In a region first, the Moreton Bay Business Expo and Moreton Jobs Expo will combine to create a greater platform for local businesses and job seekers to connect.

“The expo’s expanded program will feature more workshops and presentations than ever before, all aimed at assisting businesses getting back to business.

“In partnership with Innovate Moreton Bay, there will be a live panel presentation with special guest Queensland Chief Entrepreneur Leanne Kemp and a number of innovative workshops running throughout the day.”

Moreton Bay Region Mayor Peter Flannery said he strongly encouraged businesses hit hardest by COVID-19 to apply.

“This expo is a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to get their product or service in front of thousands of people while connecting with those looking for work,” he said.

“I know people have said the previous business and jobs expos have been invaluable, so I’d say expect only bigger and better opportunities this year as the expo focuses on business recovery and growth.

“Whether you’re a business owner looking to generate more sales or trying to get back into the workforce, mark the date in your calendar to attend.”

Applications for discounted stands will be open from 1 – 31 August 2020.

Businesses unable to secure a stand are still encouraged to attend the free expo and network.

The 2020 Recovery Moreton Bay Region Business and Jobs Expo will be held on Thursday 29 October 2020.
